The EP is a refreshing reintroduction to the rap scene of an artist that has feels compelled to show what rap music with a message is supposed to sound like, whilst showing his dissatisfaction growing up as a black male in the UK.

Black Foot Husltin is a collection of cleverly crafted songs that illustrate the thoughts and feelings of a black male frustrated at his financial situation, treatment by the Police and his position within British society. Although these topics are nothing new, it is the way that they are handled by Scankman that make all the difference when listening to this body of work.

Scankman has been involved in the UK Hip Hop scene since the early nineties and has worked with the likes of Caspa C (Dice Recordings), Blufoot (Senario) Mystro (Don’t Business) and Mischievous (Soulja Syndicate/Platinum FM) as part of the Genuine Article, Crew, featuring on DJ Disorda ‘Suspect Packages,’ ‘Mind the Gap’ mixtapes, and soundtracks such as ‘Winning Ways’ (training video for then three belt holding world kick boxing champion and ESPN sports presenter Rickki Connel.)

As a solo artist he has appeared at Kiss 100 FM’s Rap show with Shortee Blitz and Big Ted, 1FM’s Rap show with Tim Westwood and Choice FM’s Friday night Flavas with DJ 279, and targeted personal appearances at events such as the Urban Music Seminar, and releases such as the DJ Blufoot double A side12 inch ‘Hazardous Material/Live & Learn/Wassyourgame’ (pee pee rmx with Infinite Lives) and on underground stalwart Shizzio’s ‘1st Things 1st’ mixtape.
